saba day

So Friday was Saba Day.  It's the one day of the year (other than Christmas Day) that the university closes, and most businesses are closed.  The festivities last all weekend, and several places, including the primary school, are also closed on Monday for "Recovery Day".
On Saturday, some of our friends were competing in the fishing tournament.  They began at 3am and had to weigh their catch at 3pm; it was a long and rough day with stormy weather.  Down at the harbor, there were booths selling drinks and food as well as performances by local bands.  We stayed until sundown, but people were there until the wee hours.
